Kadai Masala
The term Karahi or Kadai means a 'wok' and is used in the Indian subcontinent to make various dishes. Karahi dishes originated in Afghan and Persia and have been a favorite in North Indian households and today there are varieties of both non-vegetarian and vegetarian versions of this dish. Kadhai Masala is a blend of Dry Whole Red Chilies, Coriander Seeds, and Cumin and Fennel Seeds. You can add other spices like cloves, black pepper, and bay leaf as per your choice. The real taste of the dish comes from the above there main ingredients(coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and red chilies).
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ tbsp Coriander seeds
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 4-5 Red Chilli
- 1 ½ tbsp Peppercorns
- 1 tbsp salt
Procedure:
- Take a pan.
- Add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, Kashmiri red chili, peppercorn, and salt.
- Dry roast it till you get a nutty aroma.
- Let it cool and grind it into a fine powder.
