Even though they're called cakes, tea cakes are old-fashioned cookies made with butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and vanilla. Ingredients:  Butter - 1 cup  Sugar -1.5 cups  Maida - 2 cups Egg whites - 5  Orange - 1 (juice + zest) if small oranges, use three  Baking powder - 0.5 tsp  Baking soda - 0.25 tsp Vanilla essence Procedure: Sieve maida with baking powder, baking soda & keep aside. Butter the baking tin, and keep aside. Preheat the oven to 160°c. In a bowl take butter, egg whites and add sugar to it & beat it for 2min, then add the orange juice & mix well. Then add orange zest, vanilla essence and mix it nicely, then add sieved maida mixture make a batter. Pour the batter into a baking tin, then bake it in a preheated oven for 45min over 160°c.  Authentic Konkani Ghavne(Neer Dosa) #InstaPost #FollowOnInstagram Authentic Konkani Ghavne (Neer dosa), literally meaning water dosa in Tulu, is a  crepe  prepared from rice batter. Neer dosa is a delicacy from the  Tulu Nadu region, and part of Udupi - Mangalorean cuisine. Ingredients: Rice: 1 cup (Kolam/Masoori Rice) Salt to taste 1 half  to 1 forth cups of water (use more if you need) Oil for greasing. Pan Preparation for batter: Wash the rice a few times until the water runs clear.  Soak it in water for at least 4 hours to overnight.  Drain the water and rinse well if soaked overnight.  Add the rice to a blender jar and pour 1 cup water.  Blend until smooth. Transfer to a batter bowl.  Add salt and another 1/2 cup water.  Mix well and check the consistency.  It has to be like thin or watery.  Add more water if needed. Ingredients  5-6 chunks of pineapple  1 teaspoon sugar  1/4 cup lime juice 50ml Rum  50ml fresh pineapple juice  Ice  To garnish: A Pineapple wedge. How to mix  Place all your ingredients into the blender (apart from the garnish!) and blend until a smooth consistency.  Pour into a chilled (or even better, frozen) glass, then add your garnish and serve. Ingredients: Large bananas - 2 Almonds - 23 Vanilla Ice Cream Chilled Milk - 2 cups Saffron  Preparation: If using boiled milk, cool and chill it. Using milk directly without boiling may curdle the shake. Wash and soak the almonds for 4 to 6 hours. Peel the skin and discard. Give the almonds a good rinse. You can also add them directly in the blender without soaking and blanching. Procedure:  Peel the bananas cut them into small pieces. Add the bananas, almonds, milk, vanilla ice cream and saffron in the blender and blend them until smooth and frothy. Garnish with some saffron on the top and serve banana mike shake immediately.

Kadai Masala #InstaPost #FollowOnInstagram The term Karahi or Kadai means a 'wok' and is used in the Indian subcontinent to make various dishes. Karahi dishes originated in Afghan and Persia and have been a favorite in North Indian households and today there are varieties of both non-vegetarian and vegetarian versions of this dish.  Kadhai Masala is a blend of Dry Whole Red Chilies, Coriander Seeds, and Cumin and Fennel Seeds. You can add other spices like cloves, black pepper, and bay leaf as per your choice. The real taste of the dish comes from the above there main ingredients(coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and red chilies). Ingredients:  1 ½ tbsp Coriander seeds  2 tsp Cumin seeds  4-5  Red Chilli  1 ½ tbsp Peppercorns  1 tbsp salt Procedure: Take a pan.  Add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, Kashmiri red chili, peppercorn, and salt. Dry roast it till you get a nutty aroma.  Let it cool and grind it into a fine powder.
